well to me technology has seperated us all we are no longer small villages of people trying to survive--relying on eachother as nieghbors to help with harvest,slaughter and shelter(etc)--i sit in a warm electrified house, buy food from a grocery store and rarely am called upon to help a nieghbor in any way--the wheel of the year is comprised of hallmark holidays for most of us--we have lost that dependance/vunerability on/to the elements----obviously there are limits to that-but generally speaking-

the basis for our earth based religion and dieties are one more degree seperated by every IPOD,car,cell phone and cyber chat room...i feel there is power generated from the network/web of energy we all *sit* upon as complex sentient beings...MOST people are unaware(pagan or not) of our connection...i feel once re can refresh ourselves spiritually we can regain that power of community and therefore self-- returning us to a sense of the old ways--- the community etc.

COOL-- thanks for the response--this human aspect you are looking for will be quite complex and multifaceted i suspect--this thing of ours, paganism, has gained alot of acceptance and with that a bit of the power (for lack of a better word) has been diluted-
and mostly because we are a society dependant on such isolating gadgets and technology..even industry-
gone are the community harvests etc..
but i digress--
